all year round both indoor and outdoor. Competitions
range from BSJA Premiership show jumping and BD Regional
dressage, to unaffiliated fancy dress ride and cycle.
In between the shows
they hold regular clinics with top riders, such as John
Lasseter and Stuart Reeve-Young which are open to all.
Patchetts also sports an

The Pony Club is the number
one organisation for young people who love ponies and
riding. There are 40,000 Pony Club Members in Great Britain,
belonging to either one of the 353 Branches or 354 Centres.
Membership of The Pony Club offers fun, friendship, training,
events and competitions.
Regular events are held in and around St Albans not far

The British Horse Society
was founded in 1947 as the result of the amalgamation
of two organisations, the Institute of the Horse and Pony
Club and the National Horse Association of Great Britain.
It is a registered charity (number 210504) and, as such,
its activities are overseen by the Charity Commissioner.
Its primary objectives, as published in the Memorandum
of Association, are: (a)
To promote the interests of horse and pony breeding
and to encourage the use and protection of horses and
ponies. (Horses and ponies includes any mare, gelding,
foal, colt, filly or stallion and also any ass, mule
or jennet.)
(b) To promote and facilitate the acquisition and distribution
of the knowledge of the various arts and sciences connected
with the horse and pony and the use and management thereof. |
